Due to such high incidence, it is imperative that professionals become familiar with effective diagnostic and treatment protocol for these individuals. Participants will learn how to complete an in-depth biopsychosocial assessment to evaluate for co-occurring diagnosis. In addition, treatment strategies and protocols will be introduced, along with applied pharmacology and symptomatology of individuals exhibiting co-occurring disorders. INSTRUCTOR: Carmine Pecoraro, Psy.D., C.A.P., C.Ad. Dr Carmine Pecoraro holds a Doctorate of Psychology with specialty in Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology, a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology and a Master of Science Degree in Psychology. He has been in the field of counseling for over 17 years and is a Certified Addiction Professional and an Internationally Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. He lectures on both mental health and addiction issues worldwide and has received numerous awards for his work. He has published many articles in professional journals, magazines and has appeared on television and radio. Dr Pecoraro serves on numerous boards of directors for non-profit organizations locally and internationally.
